Conversations on the Sermons of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In a time of division such as this, more than ever we need to come together as Christians to identify and alleviate hate and injustice in whatever forms they present within our community.

To this reality, we find that the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. remain relevant.  Drawing from scripture, rooted in Jesus, and aware of his context, his messages inspired a vision of God’s ‘beloved community’ and a better way forward, while simultaneously naming and challenging realities that must be addressed along the way.

As part of our work as a church to respond to the challenges of our time and building together toward a more just and compassionate world, we invite you to a series of conversations on the sermons of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. which will take place over three Sundays, from 7:00-8:00pm on zoom.

Joining us for this first session, Sunday 1/17, will be Dr. Arlo Reichter who will speak about the Kings family involvement and identity with American Baptists.
