How is First Baptist Church uniquely positioned in its gifts, history and values, to live into its mission as part of the body of Christ today and into the future? How will we build on the story of God’s faithfulness through the years to follow Jesus into transforming lives in and beyond the Bloomington Normal area?
Help us explore that question and build together for the future of our church ministry through a time of learning and discussion called the Future Church Summit, facilitated by members of the board who themselves participated earlier in March.
The FBC Future Church Summit will be offered in-person and online over the course of two Sunday sessions from 11:30am to 3:00pm on the 11th and 18th of April. For those attending in person, a light lunch (socially distanced) of individually wrapped gondolas, chips, fruit and drink will be provided.
The insights from our discussion will help guide the church and board in articulating and focusing our ministry as we move into the fall season. Twelve members of the board were able to attend the first session and we came away with important insights, good discussion and the desire to involve more of the church in this process. We hope you will join us in this conversation!
Please RSVP to the church office or Pastor Brian by April 9. There is no cost, just the time commitment. Please indicate if you plan to attend in-person (Barker Hall) or online (by Zoom).
