Church School – All Ages

The purpose of Church School is to grow disciples and to build community. It is here that FBC discusses Jesus’ teachings in small group settings every Sunday morning. We value this time as it allows us to delve deeper and to apply what we learn from the Bible to our daily lives as we strive to embody Christ in today’s world. The small group setting allows us to get to know each other and share our thoughts, struggles, and joys – and form lasting and meaningful relationships.

Because it is so important to our faith, there are classes for all ages, from infants to senior adults. Many of the adult classes also include social activities outside of the church to further connect with one another. We invite everyone to attend a Church School class between 9:30-10:30am each Sunday morning.

Children and Youth

Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Classes for children and youth are located in individual classrooms on the first and second floors of the education wing. Childcare is provided for infants and toddlers. The children’s curriculum is Deep Blue from Cokesbury. The youth use the Smyth & Helwys curriculum.

There are individual classrooms on the first floor for these ages:

  • Infants and Toddlers – Room 103
  • Ages 2 & 3 – Room 103
  • Ages 4-Kindergarten – Room 106

Second floor classrooms are designated for the following classes:

  • Grades 1-2 – Room 204
  • Grades 3-5 – Room 202
  • Grades 6-8 – Room 4 on lower level
  • Grades 9-12 – Room 6 on lower level
